My Trip – {recap}

Hey Everyone, I know it has been a few days since we have last spoken. Those of you that follow me on twitter know I was away visiting a friend in Quebec. I flew out to Ottawa early Thursday morning and returned late last night. My trip was fantastic. It was wonderful to see one of my very close friends. I miss her since she has moved. She lives in Gatineau, Quebec which actually is only 10-15min from downtown Ottawa. It was great being able to see our nation’s capital, I never realized how beautiful of a city Ottawa is. For any fellow Canadian’s if you haven’t been, you should go! I did the whole tourist thing. Saw Capital Hill, went into Parliament and went up to the Peace Tower. I wanted to do a tour, but all the English speaking one’s were sold out. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it the same if it was in French as I don’t speak if fluently. I also visited the Nature Museum, saw some Dino bones(I love me some Dinosaurs), walked around downtown Ottawa…loved every moment. In Quebec I went to my first full french club(it was fun) , went to an adorable french cafe and had probably the best latte ever(I swear I am not just saying that cause its french) and also had some poutine(cliche I know). But most of all I spent several fantastic day’s with a good friend. All in all great trip. Though by the end of the trip I was ready to be home with my much missed husband and kitty.

Now onto the bad news, last minute change the morning of my trip I decided to not take my dslr. Only my point and shoot and iPhone. I thought I didn’t want to lug my camera case around with me…and I regret this. For whatever reason my p&s  just chose to work sometimes and other times it bit the dust. I wanted to share some of my trip with you so it will be a combination of instagram photos and my camera. I promise my next trip the dslr will be in tow.

So good I went again….

Le Buffet. Soo much food..for my vegan friends cover your eyes. I tried frog legs, smallest bite and I will never do it again. Always important to try new things right?-but not frog legs, its never good to try frog legs. I wish I through clearly before I took that bite…

This was at a pub called The Exchange in Rideau Centre. A fantastic mall in downtown Ottawa. Best salmon burger I have ever had.

My girl Pamela. I miss her soooo much already. I can’t wait to see her again..hopefully soon….maybe summer?

This post has taken me forever to write for some reason. I have had so many technical issues with these photos from the camera just not working to uploading them to the blog. It has been a long 24hours for me. I had a full day of work after landing late last night. I wish I had taken today off to gather myself before returning. But what better way to get a jump start to normality I suppose.

Tomorrow I am about to start a 60 day challenge called Insanity Workout. I have read about this on Healthy Diva Eats as well as on some vlogs I follow…I thought why not?  I will blog about my venture! Do you guy’s want me to do before and after photos?
